History of this website

Memphis Malayalees had been organizing as a community since 1996 and gather at least 3 times a year for Vishu/Easter, Onam and Xmas/NewYear events. Each event had been organized by volunteer families. In the year 2007, Vishu/Easter event was organized by Premila & Sudhir, Sabitha & Rajesh, Sujatha & Santhosh, and Vidhya & Venkat. The organizers decided to create a website which would help tracking member contact information efficiently. Sujatha Santhosh, one of the organizers, created a web site to satisfy the requirement. This was registered under the domain name memphismallus.org. Later, Rajesh Aravindakshan , another organizer, took the lead to re-design the website and eventually evolved to the current website! The domain was later registered as memphismalayalees.org  when MAM (Malayalee Association of Memphis) was born!
