Volunteering opportunity at the Mid South Food Bank on May 4th 2013.This is going to be an exciting & fun event at the same time with a purpose. Here are some things you need to know before you arrive:(Rules received from the Food Bank)<\/p>\n
This is a warehouse. It can be dirty, hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Please dress comfortably. Shorts are acceptable but please no short shorts, tank\/crop tops or hanging jewelry.
\nFor your safety you can NOT wear open toe shoes, sandals, or flip-flops. Leather shoes\/boots or tennis shoes are required. No exceptions. You will be sorting canned goods which cause serious injury if dropped on bare toes.
\nPlease do not bring valuables. Leave purses at home, if possible.
\nPlease do not wear jewelry on fingers or wrists that could slip off while working.
\nCell phones may not be used in the warehouse and must be turned off while working.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival please sign in. We will have the “Release and Hold Harmless Statement” at the site on the day of the event for those who have not volunteered there previously.<\/p>\n
